Sacred Harvest Festival 2014
Sacred Harvest Festival 2014
“Gratitude”
Monday August 4th – Sunday August 10th
Join us in our seventeenth year for an intimate tribal experience. Each year between two and three hundred Pagans and nature worshipers and their children and elders come together for a week of joy, fellowship, and learning. Our theme, “Gratitude” reflects the realization that for a mid sized festival in southern Minnesota we have hosted an amazingly talented group of speakers, visionaries, and musicians over the years. Sacred Harvest Festival has welcomed well over a thousand unique individuals who have made our tribe flourish. In gratitude, and for the first time, we have decided to bring some of our favorite people back as guests.
…. and again return to the tribal community home you love!

Yeshe Rabbit
I am a holy woman, tantric buddhist, devotee of the church of
laughter, high priestess of the goddess, and lover of life. I co-own
the Sacred Well with Astrobarry. it’s a beating heart of a
metaphysical shop in Oakland, Ca, where i mix up homemade potions,
powders, and products, bring in fantastic crystal and mineral
specimens from my adventures, and serve the public with readings,
rituals, and remedies. The well is a community hub, a magical
resource, and a refuge for spiritual seekers in the urban landscape.
I am the founder and presiding high priestess of Come As You Are Coven, an eclectic bay area pagan community served by trained and
ordained priest/esses in the interfaith wildflower tradition. My coven
is a haven for those drawn to creating magical family, with supported
space for personal expression and an absence of dogma.
My various creative projects, community activities, and service initiatives happen with the help of many wonderful people who truly make the commitment, every day, to being fountains of love and magic in the world. For you, i am so grateful.

ENTERTAINERS & MUSICIANS
Ellie Bryan
Born and raised in South Minneapolis, Ellie Bryan of Crow Call first discovered this instrument in 2010 and began her musical journey by making and playing these bows. She sings traditional and pagan folk songs, from both ancient and contemporary sources, and is very pleased to share this amazing instrument for the 3rd time at Sacred Harvest Festival.
Known as “the first stringed instrument”, the Mouth Bow is creates a distinct and haunting sound by uniting a stick and a string to resemble a hunting bow, which is then strummed while leaning against the jaw. Similar to a jaw harp, the instrument uses the cavity of the mouth as a resonance chamber to change the overtones of the note.
Crow Call
Crow Call is Ellie Bryan and Peter Ruddy, a folk duo from south Minneapolis that combines traditional Folk/Americana genres with minor chords and subtle metal influences. On the 5-string banjo and 12-string acoustic guitar they perform dark originals that draw influences from ancient mythology and personal experiences, alongside old-time traditional songs, blurring the dichotomy of the old and the new; the traditional and the modern. Together they write deep, thought provoking music that transports the listener to personal place, as well as up-tempo traditional songs that transport the listener back in time.
