Lore from SHF 2001 – A Gift From the Goddess!

At this year’s Sacred Harvest Festival, we had some rain on Thursday. Things dried out for the weekend and after our closing ritual, we made a discovery. The Lord and Lady tree marked a gateway to our ritual area, and our gift was at the Lady tree’s base.

A large orange shelf fungus had appeared overnight. Known as the “chicken of the woods” we sampled its great chicken-like flavor! It seemed to be tangible evidence of the pleasure brought to the Goddess by our rites. It completed the process of rebirth and SHF 2001.
