Located about 90 minutes North of Minneapolis, or 90 miles South of Duluth, Mn. … nestled among pristine secluded woodlands between Finlayson, Mn and Lake Milacs.

“This week we will be connecting with the energies of nature, the Sun and Moon, the wind and trees, the rhythm of the earth and fire. As we walk through festival, we are constantly co-creating sacred space with our breath, our movement, our words and our deeds. Remember this. Be quiet in quiet spaces, join in with dance, sing the songs, laugh, play and encourage one another. Sacred Harvest Festival is a place to build and strengthen community. Whether this is your first festival or one of many, we believe you will experience the “magic” that happens when those who honor the Earth and her creatures, gather and walk together on the land in love, trust and with respect.”

A bit of a nomad in his younger years, Jason has lived in both the Midwest and the American South, and currently resides in California’s Silicon Valley, where he helps run two local covens with his wife Ari. Jasons has spent the last twenty-five years of his life researching the Horned God, Witchcraft & magickal history, and the occult influences in rock and roll music. Jason regularly lectures and leads rituals at Pagan and Witchcraft in both North America and the United Kingdom. When not practicing, writing about, or studying the Craft Jason can be found spending time with his cats, whisky tasting, and watching Golden State Warriors basketball.

Murphy Pizza

Murphy Pizza, PhD, is a cultural anthropologist with a specialization in comparative religion. The last time she was a guest at SHF, she was still finishing her dissertation on the Twin Cities Pagan Community! From that, she wrote the book Paganistan: Contemporary Pagan Community in Minnesota’s Twin Cities (Ashgate, 2014), co-edited The Brill Handbook of Contemporary Paganism (2009), and contributed to Sacred Schisms (Cambridge, 2009) and Nordic New Religions (Brill 2015). She has also published and presented several articles in the realm of New Religious Movements. Her teaching and academic background includes anthropology, ethnic studies, art, humanities, religion, philosophy, social action, natural and social sciences, and research methods.

She is currently president of the Upper Midwest Section of the American Academy of Religion and active in planning their annual conference. Murphy has also been a practitioner of Pagan religions, world religions, and magical Occult traditions for nearly 30 years. She happily resides in the Twin Cities with her beloved community and has been slogging it as an adjunct professor at several schools there – a situation that may hopefully transform soon.

Stacey Wilber

Stacey, a long-time devotee of the Heathen gods, has been involved with Theodism since she and her husband first formed Fresena Rike in the mid 90s, and they both currently run Axenthof Thaid. Over the 30 years of honing her practice, she has had the honor of befriending many different Heathen and Theodish groups in the Midwest and East Coast. The groundwork of Stacey’s practice was cultivated by her family, who raised her with a strong respect for the environment and lessons on how to use what it presents to you, be it making string from nettles, perceiving the smallest bees in your yard, or figuring out what to do with an obscene amount of zucchini. While learning lore in the libraries, scooping scholarship on side quests, and having a naturally robust aptitude for multi-crafting, she has created an intuitive practice that she is eager and excited to share with others. She also makes a mean chocolate zucchini cake.
